Synopsis
In A Watch Was the Target, we meet Clem Kelly, a young man whose life is irrevocably altered when he bravely rescues Mrs. Conover from a raging fire, only to lose his eyesight in the process. The incident leaves him blind, but it also ignites a deep love for Janie, Mrs. Conover's daughter. Despite his feelings, Clem struggles with self-doubt and a sense of worthlessness, believing he cannot provide for Janie or be the man she deserves. Ten years pass, and Clem has built a life with Janie, but the shadow of his past looms large.
