Synopsis
In Dead Man's Double, the story begins with Eddie Burke riding through the rugged terrain of Fowler, a mining town, feeling the pressure of being pursued. He soon encounters Sheriff Burt Lawrence and his deputy, who accuse him of being an imposter—specifically, a murderer who has returned from the grave to claim his uncle's estate. The sheriff is convinced that Eddie is not who he claims to be, insisting that the real Eddie Burke is dead and that he is merely a fraud trying to steal a gold mine.
