Synopsis
In The Roof of the World, we meet Phil and Esther Malden, a husband and wife team of archeologists who are summoned by the Office of Strategic Services (O.S.S.) during World War II. They are tasked with a perilous mission to travel to Tibet and meet the Dalai Lama, with the goal of securing his support against the advancing Axis powers. The couple is aware of the dangers that lie ahead, but their sense of duty compels them to accept the challenge.
