Synopsis
In The Quality of Courage, we are transported to the early fall of 1776, where Sergeant Ezra Lee of the Continental Army recounts a remarkable tale of bravery and ingenuity. The British forces hold parts of New York City, and the American troops are desperate for a way to counter their naval superiority. Enter David Bushnell, a young inventor from Lyme, Connecticut, who has devised a revolutionary plan to create an underwater vessel capable of attacking British ships. This submarine, known as the 'turtle,' represents a beacon of hope for the American cause.
