Synopsis

In The Ship the Nazis Had to Get, Captain Kenneth Town recounts a pivotal moment in World War II when he captains the Sea Train Texas. The year is 1942, and the British Eighth Army is in dire straits against the advancing forces of Field Marshal Rommel in North Africa. With the fall of Tobruk and the threat of Cairo and Alexandria falling into German hands, the urgency for reinforcements becomes critical. The British Prime Minister reaches out to the American President, leading to a frantic mobilization of resources across the United States.
