Synopsis
In Wizards of Whiting, we are transported to 1909 Whiting, Indiana, where Dr. Robert Humphreys, the chief chemist at Standard Oil, is feeling disillusioned with his career. He is frustrated by the lack of meaningful work and the mundane tasks he has been assigned over the years. As he contemplates resigning to return to Virginia for a fresh start, his wife, Adelaide, tries to understand his discontent while encouraging him to stay.
