In the Cavalcade of America episode titled The Redemption of Lottie Moon, the year is 1863, and the Civil War rages on. General Ambrose Everett Burnside has just assumed command of the U.S. Army's Department of the Ohio in Cincinnati. Haunted by his previous failures, particularly at the Battle of Fredericksburg, Burnside is determined to prove himself. However, he is soon confronted with a delicate mission involving a notorious Confederate spy known as Lottie Moon. The urgency of the situation is palpable as the Colonel informs him of her recent exploits that threaten military security.
