Synopsis

In the episode titled Faith in Education from Cavalcade of America, we are transported back to the year 1670 in the Plymouth colony. The story centers around Faith Hollister, a poor widow who is determined to secure a better future for her son, Jeremy. As they arrive at the home of a wealthy family, Faith prepares to bind Jeremy to them for seven years, a common practice of the time. Her hope is that this arrangement will provide him with not only a roof over his head but also an education, which she believes is crucial for his future.
