Broadway's My Beat, from Times Square to Columbus Circle. The gaudiest, the most violent, the lonesomest mile in the world. Broadway's My Beat, with Larry Thor as Detective Danny Clover. Synopsis

In The Sherman Gates Murder Case, Detective Danny Clover finds himself drawn into the dark side of Broadway when he is summoned to a theater where Sherman Gates has been found dead in a loge. The scene is set against the backdrop of a bustling Broadway, where the laughter of a comedy show contrasts sharply with the grim reality of a murder investigation. Clover learns from Maxie Stern, the theater manager, that Gates was discovered by a charwoman who could not budge him from his seat. The initial assessment by the house doctor indicates poisoning, leading Clover to suspect foul play rather than suicide.
