Synopsis
In Arise, My Love, part of the Academy Award Theater, the story is set in Spain during the summer of 1939, at the end of the Spanish Civil War. Lieutenant Tom Martin finds himself in a military prison, awaiting execution for his actions during the conflict. Just as he prepares to face his fate, his wife, Augusta Nash, arrives unexpectedly, having secured a pardon for him. However, their reunion is anything but joyful; Augusta is filled with resentment for the years Tom has spent away from her and their children.
