Synopsis

In the episode Death at Deadline from Mystery House, the tension begins to mount when Luke Chilton, the managing editor of The Star, is confronted by Jim Boland, a former reporter he had to let go due to unethical behavior. Boland, who has a history of blackmail, is determined to reclaim his position at the newspaper, and his return is anything but welcome. As he enters Chilton's office, the air is thick with unresolved conflict and animosity. Chilton, despite his better judgment, feels a sense of pity for Boland, recalling the potential he once had as a reporter.
