Synopsis

In the episode The Making Of A Coward, Steve Archer finds himself isolated in the town of New London, where the residents regard him as a coward after he accidentally killed the sheriff during a confrontation. As the stagecoach driver, Steve's daily routine is marred by the scorn of the townsfolk, who avoid him as if he were a pariah. Despite the encouragement from his mentor, Barney, Steve grapples with his self-image and the fear that he may never regain the respect of the community or the affection of Gene, the girl he loves.
