Synopsis
In the episode Quicksand Point, Bud Nelson is desperate to save his family's ranch from financial ruin. With his father laid up with rheumatism and debts piling up, Bud learns of a cattle buyer in Dry Rock offering top dollar for the first herd delivered. Knowing that his ranch is close to the buyer, he devises a plan to take his cattle along the river trail, which he believes will allow him to arrive before his rival, Jed Bruce, who is also planning to drive his cattle to the same buyer.
