Synopsis

In the Lone Ranger episode New Marshall, the story begins in a crowded courthouse in Crystal City, where the jury has just delivered a not guilty verdict for Slim Carter, accused of murder. Sheriff Jeb Stevens, a staunch believer in old-fashioned justice, is furious, convinced that Carter is guilty despite the jury's decision. The newly appointed United States Marshal, who is determined to bring a more civilized approach to law enforcement, finds himself at odds with the sheriff's outdated methods.
