In Mud Flats Detective, the story unfolds with young Rance, a boy eager to prove himself as a detective, inspired by the tales of bravery and justice told by Dan Reid. When he hears about the mysterious murders of stagecoach drivers on the route to Pokeville, Rance's curiosity is piqued. Two drivers have already met their demise under suspicious circumstances, and the town is on edge.
