Synopsis
In Sign of the Broken Thumb, the Lone Ranger is called upon to address a grave issue in San Francisco's Barbary Coast: the trafficking of Chinese laborers led by the notorious Little Pete. Wealthy businessman Arnold Gerson, concerned about the growing criminal elements in the area, seeks the Ranger's help to eradicate this vicious trade. Gerson informs the Ranger about the upcoming auction of coolies, where these laborers are sold, and urges him to investigate the situation further.
