Synopsis
In the episode Blind Leader, Major Davis, the commanding officer of Fort Casper, faces a dire situation after being blinded during an Apache attack. As he lies in his quarters, surrounded by his daughter Ellen and the post surgeon, Dr. Parrish, he struggles to come to terms with his new reality. The major's stubbornness leads him to insist on keeping his blindness a secret, fearing that Captain Faust, a young and ambitious officer, would take command and lead the troops into a disastrous confrontation with the Apaches.
