Synopsis
In the episode Scheme To Pay The Church Mortgage, the Lone Ranger and his faithful companion Tonto arrive in the small town of Argus Falls, where Reverend Matthew Whitcomb is facing a dire situation. The church is at risk of foreclosure due to an unpaid mortgage, and the Reverend is determined to find a way to save it. As he greets church members on a Sunday morning, he learns from an elderly rancher, Ben, that the church's financial troubles are more severe than he realized. Ben's own ranch is also mortgaged, and he cannot provide the help the Reverend needs.
