Synopsis

In The Ghost of Ireland Betty, George Valentine receives a letter from Miss Dowdy, a devoted companion to the late Ireland Betty, who lived in a sprawling Italian villa. The letter hints at a haunting presence within the house and a potential threat posed by Professor Gifford, who wishes to purchase the property. Christine, Betty's niece, has returned from Canada to expedite the sale, but her lack of belief in the house's significance raises concerns for Miss Dowdy, who fears the house's legacy may be lost.
