Synopsis
In this episode of Frontier Fighters, the story follows General Stephen Watts Kearney as he prepares to lead his troops into the heart of conflict during the Mexican-American War. With the Mexican government formally declaring war against the United States on May 23, 1846, Kearney is tasked with the crucial mission of establishing American control over the territories of New Mexico and California. As he gathers his forces at Fort Leavenworth, Kearney's determination is palpable, and he selects Lieutenant Emery as his topographical officer to assist in mapping their journey.
