Synopsis

In The Adventure of The Brooklyn Accent (2), Frank Race finds himself in a precarious situation when he receives a call from Bruce Benton, a vice president at Trans-Pacific Life Insurance. The war has transformed Race's life from a simple attorney to a man of adventure, and now he is thrust into a dangerous ransom scenario. Benton informs Race that Walter Kruger, a notorious playboy and heir to a vast fortune, has been kidnapped. The insurance company faces a dilemma: pay the ransom or risk losing a substantial payout due to Kruger's life being insured for $300,000, with double indemnity raising the stakes to $600,000. Race must navigate this treacherous landscape to save Kruger and ensure justice is served.
