In Irene Wilson's Dead Uncle Stanley, private investigator Peter Chambers is drawn into a perplexing case when the beautiful Irene Wilson seeks his help. She adamantly believes that her uncle, Max Daly, a delicatessen owner, did not take his own life, despite the police's conclusion that he committed suicide. The circumstances surrounding Max's death are troubling: he was found in his locked bathroom with his own gun beside him, and the police have quickly closed the case. However, Irene's conviction that her uncle was murdered compels Chambers to dig deeper.
