Synopsis
In The Silent Service, the audience is transported to the tense atmosphere aboard the submarine Trigger, commanded by Lieutenant Commander Roy Benson during World War II. The submarine is submerged in the Pacific Ocean, just off the coast of Japan, as it faces a relentless depth charge attack from enemy destroyers. The crew is on high alert, grappling with the immediate threat to their lives while also dealing with the psychological toll of prolonged confinement and danger.
