Synopsis
In The House Near Little Dock Street, set against the backdrop of the Revolutionary War, Lydia Darrow is a housewife living in Philadelphia. The year is 1777, and her home becomes a temporary refuge for British soldiers, including Colonel Robert Patterson. As the British occupy the city, Lydia is forced to accommodate them, despite her sympathies lying with the American cause. The tension in her household escalates when her brother, Philip, a rebel, sneaks in to gather supplies, putting Lydia in a precarious position.
