Synopsis
In the episode Village Doctor from Cavalcade of America, we meet Dr. Arthur Chester Sudan, portrayed by Melvin Douglas, who is on the brink of a long-awaited vacation. The year is 1926, and Dr. Sudan has taken a leave of absence from his teaching and research at the University of Chicago. With dreams of fishing in the pristine waters of Colorado, he is filled with anticipation and excitement. His friend Charlie teases him about his obsession with fishing, but Dr. Sudan is resolute in his plans to escape the rigors of academic life.
