Synopsis
In Mr. Pullman's Palace Car, we are transported to the mid-1800s, a time when train travel is a rough experience, lacking the comforts we take for granted today. George Fullman, a young and ambitious railroad man, is on a journey from New York to Chicago. During his travels, he encounters a weary family struggling to find comfort on the crowded train. This experience ignites a spark in Fullman, leading him to envision a revolutionary idea: a sleeping car that would allow passengers to rest comfortably during their travels.
