Synopsis

The Adventures of Mark Twain opens with the introduction of Samuel Langhorne Clemens, who is born under the rare Halley's Comet. Growing up in the quaint village of Hannibal, Missouri, he experiences a childhood filled with the allure of the nearby Mississippi River. His mother, concerned for his future, urges him to pursue a more traditional career in printing, but the river calls to him with an irresistible pull.
