Synopsis

This Our Exile opens with Evangeline, a young woman on the verge of marrying her beloved Gabriel, in a peaceful village in Czechoslovakia. The tranquility of their lives is abruptly interrupted by the arrival of warships in the harbor, signaling an impending threat that looms over the villagers. As the community prepares for a joyous wedding, the atmosphere is charged with an undercurrent of anxiety and fear, foreshadowing the turmoil that is about to unfold.
