Synopsis
In Yellow Jack, the narrative centers on Major Walter Reed, portrayed by Tyrone Power, and his medical team stationed in Cuba during the summer of 1900. The U.S. Army has remained in Cuba after the war, but the soldiers are not merely waiting for orders; they are grappling with the deadly yellow fever epidemic that has begun to take its toll on their ranks. The atmosphere is heavy with tension as the men face the dual challenges of boredom and the ever-present threat of illness. Reed and his colleagues are determined to uncover the source of this mysterious disease, which has already claimed many lives and threatens to spread back to the United States.
