Synopsis

In The Great Man Votes, Orson Welles introduces us to Gregory Vance, a night watchman living in a modest home in a large American city. As he prepares for work, he engages in a heartfelt conversation with his two grandchildren about the importance of voting and civic duty. Vance, who has faced numerous job losses since resigning from his teaching position at Harvard, is now at risk of being fired from his current job due to the political influence of a local demagogue named Iron Hat McCarty.
