Synopsis
In the episode The Red Death, set in 1915, Dr. Joseph Goldberger arrives in the lush, green landscapes of the American South, where the tranquility of the land contrasts sharply with the suffering caused by the disease known as pellagra. This illness has left a trail of death among the impoverished communities, and the locals are desperate for answers. As Goldberger steps into this world, he is met with both hope and skepticism from the residents who have witnessed the toll of the disease firsthand.
