Synopsis

In The Joey Macklin - John Howard Murder Case, Detective Danny Clover is summoned to a grim scene in the Bowery, where two men lie dead from alcohol poisoning. One is Joey Macklin, a known pickpocket and bum, while the other is John Howard, a well-fed retired lieutenant colonel. The stark contrast between their lives raises immediate questions about how they ended up together in such a tragic fate. As Clover examines the evidence, he notes the oddities surrounding Howard's appearance, suggesting a deeper story than mere coincidence.
